1200 Pairs and 40 Days to Go to
Reach 2,000!

Focus on the Familys Clubhouse Jr. Magazine Helps Shoes 2 Share Collect Shoes for Global Relief in Haiti and 17 Countries

Wilmington, Del. In 2010, 2,000 children may be able to walk to theirs school miles away, 2,000 people may be able to go to work and support their families, and 2,000 people may be given a new chance at life.

Focus on the Familys Clubhouse Jr. childrens magazine is holding the Clubhouse Jr. Challenge for young people through August 20, 2010 to encourage them to make a life-changing impact for those in need by collecting shoes for Shoes 2 Share International, a ministry and global relief organization.

The Club House Jr. Challenge is to collect at least 2,000 pairs of shoes for the 18 countries that Shoes 2 Share assists by August 20, 2010.  So far hundreds of kids have taken on the Clubhouse Jr. Challenge and have collected 1,200 pairs of shoes. Right now Clubhouse Jr. has reached 60% of their collection goal. If only 20 different people continue to donate just two pairs of shoes each day for 40 more days, the goal will be met.

Clubhouse Jr. still needs help to assist Shoes 2 Share with giving shoes to the 2,000 students or parents in less fortunate countries around the globe, and in the U.S.  In order to enter the Clubhouse Jr. Challenge, children and families should:

1. Collect new or used shoes of any size. They can be sandals, tennis shoes, work boots, dress shoes, or even slippers!

2. Take pictures with the shoes collected.

3. Write about how they collected the shoes and who helped.

4. Send shoes to the Shoes 2 Share address below by August 20, 2010 (a $10 donation to Shoes 2 Share helps with shipping):

Tim & Rhonda Wampler, Founders of Shoes 2 Share has been providing for those in need for years. In a time where governmental taxes on donations prevent other relief organizations from exporting donations, Shoes 2 Share gets their shoes and relief supplies to those who need them more quickly. They have spent years building up a network and process that ensures any donated shoes and relief supplies get to countries safely, quickly and most importantly directly to the people.

Shoes 2 Share International is a ministry that collects donated shoes for poverty-stricken communities around the world. The organization founded by Tim and Rhonda Wampler has collected hundreds of thousands of pounds of footwear for communities worldwide. The Wamplers began the ministry after witnessing the extreme poverty of Haiti while adopting their children from the country in 2003.

Shoes 2 Share has worked with over 300 schools, churches, businesses, corporations, service organizations and government entities to collect and send shoes, as well as food, infant supplies, medical items, toiletries, generators, tarps and tents to countries around the globe.  They work with 18 countries around the world.

Realizing that lack of shoes can lead to disease and even death due to contaminated soil from sewage and a variety of other factors, Shoes 2 Share has worked with over 300 schools, churches, businesses, corporations, service organizations and government entities to collect and send shoes, as well as food, infant supplies, medical items, toiletries, generators, tarps and tents, to Haiti.  With the addition of Liberia, West Africa, they now work with 14 other countries around the globe.
